Massachusetts town returns, 1917.

Responses of towns in Massachusetts and Maine to a request from Samuel E. Morison for information on the towns' votes on the Massachusetts Constitution in 1780. The returns from individual town and city clerk's offices include abstracts and copies of the town proceedings from 1780 which Morison used for a paper presented at the Massachusetts Historical Society in May of 1917.
